UK Prime Minister says Isle of Man is not a tax haven
The British Prime Minister has recently acknowledged that the Crown dependencies, including the Isle of Man, are not tax havens and that they operate open tax systems. David Cameron gave a supportive statement during Parliament on 9th September:
“I do not think it is fair any longer to refer to any of the overseas territories or Crown dependencies as tax havens”.
The Prime Minister’s comments underline the view that the Isle of Man is a responsible business centre with a competitive, clear and simple tax regime.
